Triand Yondbridge was forty-two, a witchard, and dead. Her being her, the last part just didn’t stick.
It’s just the end of the world again: A prophecy of the end times. An elf hero who rides out to defeat the queen of the dead. A trio of women who were just having a good time.
A year after her brief apprenticeship, Iwy attends a proper magical university, but during a local celebration the dead start to leave their graves. Meanwhile, Triand is having the time of her unlife when she meets Freddie the bard, who has ninety-nine problems, most of them due to falling in with the wrong crowd and one due to lack of ballad material.
Facing the undead army of an ancient goddess as foretold by the mystical race of Elves was not on anyone’s bingo card.
Reunited with her former apprentice, Triand has to solve mystery of the rising dead before the world ends … again. While the elf hero Kalentor (surely you’ve heard of him?) rides out to rally support, Triand might just find the answer in an ancient necropolis or even in the Elven realm – not the easiest destinations, since teleportation spells no longer work. It’s going to be a long, long trip …
